Over the last 12 months, ARV has delivered an extensive body of work to realise the strategic priorities identified for the organization by the Minister when it was first established, and to inform a financially sustainable way forward for the alpine resorts.

In delivering this work, ARV would like to acknowledge the commitment and input of the Stakeholder Consultative Committees (SCCs) in each resort, who have engaged with a wide range of strategies over the past year:

  • Climate Change Adaptation Strategy – attended facilitated workshops, individual stakeholder meetings and a group feedback session, and then reviewed the draft strategy prior to finalization
  • Service Reviews – reviewed an extensive services review document, participated in a 3-hour facilitated feedback session, and provided written input, which informed the finalization of service recommendations.

  • Asset Management Strategy – participated in a presentation on the findings across the portfolio as well as individual resort asset priorities.

  • Alpine Resorts Strategic Plan – participated in an introductory webinar, attended one of four in-person workshops, participated in a commercial operator workshop, provided written feedback both direct to ARV and via the Engage Vic website, participated in a sense making workshop to review feedback, and are currently reviewing and having input into the first draft of the strategy ahead of it going out for public review on the Engage Victoria website.

  • Alpine Leasing Policy – a range of SCC members participated in the Stakeholder Reference Group, which has met regularly over the last year, discussing and submitting leasing concepts that have shaped the development of a draft policy that is currently out for public review via Engage Victoria.

This is in addition to resort specific priorities and opportunities work-shopped at a resort specific level.

This is an immense amount of engagement for volunteer committees, and ARV would like to thank members for all of their efforts in this space. This includes attending scheduled SCC meetings as well as a significant range of additional workshops, extraordinary meetings and one-on-one catch-ups to enable this work to be delivered.
