Alpine Resorts Victoria is working closely with KPMG to finalise the bushfire insurance strategy project. Delays have been experienced due to the complexity of the project and a longer than anticipated stakeholder engagement process.
KPMG has now presented their preferred recommendation and associated implementation plan for review by the Project Working Group, which will be presented to the Stakeholder Consultative Committees during the week commencing 9 October, after which time the business case will be finalised.
KPMG’s preferred recommendation represents a staged and multi-pronged approach to tackling the issue, combining short-term initiatives to mitigate current-state challenges whilst working towards a longer-term solution involving the establishment of a singular discretionary mutual fund or trust for the benefit of all lessees.
