Interim General Manager appointed for Mt Buller - Mt Stirling

Experienced executive John Merritt has been appointed by ARV as interim General Manager for Mt Buller / Mt Stirling while the search for a permanent General Manager continues.

John comes to ARV with significant public sector and senior management experience. Throughout his career, John has held many CEO roles, including for VicRoads, the Environmental Protection Authority and the National Safety Council of Australia, so is experienced at running complex and diverse public sector entities of scale.

He also has a strong governance background, having been the Chair of WorkSafe Victoria and now holding board roles at the Danny Frawley Centre, Goulburn Broken CMA and the Transport Accident Commission (TAC).

John will support the Mt Buller/Stirling team through the ongoing ARV transition and planning for the winter 2024 season. We appreciate John’s assistance while we work to complete ARV’s Mt Buller / Mt Stirling team.
