Nominations Open for ARV’s Stakeholder Consultative Committees
Alpine Resort Victoria (ARV) is calling for stakeholders of the State’s six alpine resorts (Falls Creek, Lake Mountain, Mt Baw Baw, Mt Buller, Mt Hotham and Mt Stirling) to contribute to the strategic direction of the resorts via membership on the Stakeholder Consultative Committees (SCCs). These volunteer committees play a pivotal role in the direction of the resorts, providing advice on operational and strategic matters relating to their relevant mountain, and surrounding communities.
With nominations for membership of the SCCs now due for renewal, ARV is encouraging all suitable and passionate stakeholders to submit a short application to express their interest in one of the resort SCCs for a two-year term, commencing January 2025.
“Victoria’s alpine resorts are full of passionate and engaged stakeholders and ARV wants to hear from anyone who is keen to contribute to and help us inform the strategic direction of the resorts,” said Amber Gardner, Chief Executive Officer, Alpine Resorts Victoria.
“We have had SCCs in each resort running for the last two years and they have played a crucial role in helping shape ARV’s engagement with broader stakeholder groups and also inform ARV’s direction in key areas like environmental management, emergency management, leasing policy and visitor experience,” she said.
“Membership on the SCC helps ARV protect and enhance the unique characteristics of each resort while helping to ensure the sustainability and long-term success of all of the resorts, and they provide a conduit for information and advice between ARV and key stakeholders ensuring local matters are heard and considered,” said Amber.
Nominations close on 1 November 2024. More information can be found on the SCC 2025-2026 Nominations Page .
