Alpine Resorts Victoria’s Emergency Management team has remained highly engaged throughout the 2025–26 green season, responding to challenging fire and weather conditions across Victoria’s alpine regions.
Working closely with emergency services, government agencies and local councils, ARV has actively monitored bushfires and severe weather events, supporting preparedness and coordinated response efforts across its resorts and surrounding communities.
The season presented several prolonged fire and weather events that impacted landscapes and nearby communities. ARV Emergency Management personnel, alongside resort operations teams, undertook readiness and response activities including resource sharing with council partners, increased monitoring and on ground preparedness measures.
While no ARV resort assets were directly impacted, several communities experienced disruption and are now transitioning from response to recovery. ARV will continue to support these communities and its workforce by maintaining close coordination with partner agencies and reviewing lessons learned to strengthen future preparedness, response and recovery arrangements.
In parallel, ARV has progressed essential work to finalise emergency management arrangements ahead of the upcoming snow season. This includes reviewing and updating resort level Emergency Management Operational Guidelines (EMOGs) and strengthening planning and readiness through continued engagement with agency and community partners.
ARV remains committed to continuous improvement, collaboration and strong emergency management capability across Victoria’s alpine resorts, supporting visitor safety and the resilience of alpine communities’ year round.
