  • habitat loss
  • degradation and fragmentation
  • predation
  • natural hazards
  • climate change.

Flora displays at the resorts

The resorts also offer easy access to stunning and ever-changing wildflower displays during spring and summer months, including:

  • Alpine Marsh-marigolds flowering under melting snow and ice
  • vast carpets of brightly coloured heath species
  • delicate herbs including Alpine Trigger-plants and stunning Billy-buttons
  • extraordinary Alpine Sphagnum Bog and Fen communities maintaining water quality and quantities.

Recovery plans set out research and management actions to stop the decline of, and support the recovery of, listed threatened species or threatened ecological communities.
