Ahead of the 2023 snow season, ARV finalised its organisational structure in line with the Minister’s expectations. The goal was to create a model that centralises certain services, improves efficiency, and adds strategic oversight across all resorts, reflecting our core values.

Guided by core values

Our organisational design is built around 3 key values that guide operations across all resorts:

  1. Collaboration – working together to achieve shared goals.
  2. Centralisation – streamlining services to reduce duplication.
  3. Standardisation – ensuring consistent practices across every resort.

Centralised departments

To deliver on these values, ARV introduced 2 new central departments:

1. Corporate services

This department manages the core functions that keep ARV running smoothly, including:

  • finance
  • people & culture
  • information and communication technology (ICT)
  • governance & risk

2. Assets, land management and strategic development

This department focuses on long-term planning and legislated responsibilities, covering:

  • property and statutory planning
  • strategic asset management
  • environmental sustainability initiatives
  • economic development opportunities
  • partnerships with Traditional Owners
  • stakeholder engagement.

Resort operations remain locally managed

While some services are centralised, day-to-day resort operations remain unchanged. Each resort continues to be led by a Resort General Manager, who reports directly to the CEO. This ensures:

  • senior leadership presence at each resort
  • direct communication between the CEO and individual resorts
  • balanced oversight of both centralised and local responsibilities.
