Role and functions
The Mt Hotham Stakeholder Consultative Committee (SCC) advises Alpine Resorts Victoria (ARV) on strategic and operational matters affecting the resort.
Under the Alpine Resorts (Management) Act 1997, it represents the views of the resort community and provides feedback on matters affecting the resort, including:
- promotion, operation, management, development, and use of the resort
- strategic matters affecting alpine resorts and surrounding communities (including First Nations people)
- development of the alpine resorts strategic plan
- fees and contributions for services provided by ARV.
Following the formation of Alpine Resorts Victoria on 1 October 2022, ARV sought nominations from resort-based organisations to ensure broad representation of stakeholders and key user groups. SCCs are required to meet regularly, at least 6 times per year.
