Planning for the future with the alpine sector

The Alpine Resorts Strategic Plan is the key strategic tool guiding Victoria’s alpine sector. It outlines the sector’s vision and long-term strategic objectives, identifies challenges and opportunities, and sets the strategic priorities for Victoria’s alpine resorts.

The Alpine Resorts Strategic Plan 2026–2030 is endorsed by the Minister for Environment, and sets a shared direction for the alpine sector over the next five years.

The Plan provides a framework to guide collaboration between government, Traditional Owners, industry, communities and resort stakeholders, with a focus on the long-term sustainability and resilience of Victoria’s alpine resorts.

Community and stakeholder feedback

The Alpine Resorts Strategic Plan 2026–2030 was developed through consultation with stakeholders from across Victoria’s alpine sector.

Alpine Resorts Victoria (ARV) provided opportunities for stakeholders to contribute to the Plan through online engagement and placebased workshops. ARV partnered with MosaicLab to facilitate the consultation and engagement process.

Feedback received through the workshops and online engagement, together with the review of the previous Alpine Resorts Strategic Plan 2020–2025 and consideration of other relevant data, informed development of the final Plan.

ARV acknowledges the contribution of Traditional Owners, industry partners, local communities, government and resort stakeholders who shared their knowledge, experience and perspectives throughout the process.

The Consultation Report provides further information about the engagement undertaken and how stakeholder feedback informed development of the Plan.
