Alpine Resorts Victoria (ARV) is pleased to advise that the 2025 Annual Report was tabled in Parliament last week.
The 2025 Annual Report outlines ARV's achievements during the year, highlighting significant progress against strategic priorities designed to strengthen the long-term sustainability, resilience and performance of Victoria's alpine resorts.
ARV Chair, Ali Wastie, said the report demonstrates the organisation's continued delivery on key government priorities while positioning the sector for future growth.
"The 2025 Annual Report demonstrates that ARV has moved beyond organisational establishment and into delivery. Over the past year, we have completed every commitment outlined in the Minister's Letter of Expectations, developed a clear pathway to financial sustainability, advanced climate adaptation planning and strengthened relationships with Traditional Owners. These achievements provide a strong foundation for the future of Victoria's alpine resorts."
"Our resorts generate more than $2 billion in economic value for Victoria and support thousands of regional jobs. The work delivered in 2025 positions the sector to continue making that contribution while adapting to the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead.”
The report highlights a number of major achievements delivered during 2025, including:
- Delivery of the Pathway to Financial Sustainability report and ARV's first long-term financial plan.
- Achievement of all commitments outlined in the Minister's Letter of Expectations.
- Development of a 10-year Climate Change Adaptation Strategy for Victoria's six alpine resorts.
- Development of a Traditional Owner Engagement and Self-determination Strategy in partnership with Traditional Owner groups.
- Completion of an all-resorts Asset Management Strategy to that is supported by resort-specific asset plans.
- Development of Integrated Water Management Plans to strengthen long-term water security across the resorts.
- Delivery of ARV's first all-resorts winter marketing campaign in partnership with Visit Victoria.
- Operational commencement of the Mt Hotham Snow Play and Activity Hub.
Ms Wastie said ARV's strategic achievements were complemented by solid visitation numbers across the resorts during the 2025 snow season.
"Victoria's alpine resorts welcomed almost 900,000 visitors during the 2025 snow season, representing a 36 per cent increase on the 10-year average and demonstrating the lasting appeal of our mountain destinations," she said.
"At the same time, ARV delivered significant progress across financial sustainability, policy reform, climate adaptation, Traditional Owner engagement and visitor experience. These outcomes provide a strong foundation for the future and ensure Victoria's alpine resorts remain vibrant, sustainable and thriving destinations for generations to come."
ARV will continue working closely with the Victorian Government, industry stakeholders and Traditional Owner partners to implement the strategic initiatives outlined in the report and deliver positive outcomes across Victoria's alpine resorts.
