Victoria’s alpine sector is gearing up for another blockbuster winter, with Alpine Resorts Victoria (ARV) releasing its 2026 season permits ahead of what is expected to be a vibrant season filled with events, activities and memorable snow experiences for all visitors from seasoned skiers to first timers discovering the mountains for the very first time.

Visitors are now able to secure All Resort Season Permits ($959) and single resort Early Bird Season Permits ($530), offering value and convenience for those planning multiple trips to the resorts. Season permits remain one of the easiest ways to access Victoria’s alpine resorts, providing unlimited resort entry and drive through access for the entirety of the snow season.

This year, single resort Early Bird season permits offer more than $100 in savings when purchased before the end of the sale, 12pm Thursday 2 April 2026. The Early Bird option pays for itself after eight days or more at a single resort, making it an excellent choice for frequent visitors or longer-term guests. Seniors’ discounts are available on single resort season permits, including the Early Bird option.

Returning for 2026, the All Resorts Season Permit continues to be a convenient and cost-effective option for alpine travellers and industry associated businesses. The permit provides unlimited access to all six ARV managed resorts - Falls Creek, Mt Hotham, Mt Buller, Mt Stirling, Mt Baw Baw and Lake Mountain - supporting cross resort travel for visitors.

All permit types are now on sale through ARV’s new unified digital sales platform, which consolidates resort entry products and replaces multiple legacy systems. The system is designed to simplify the purchase process, enhance the visitor journey, and enable more flexible and frequent visitation throughout the season.

With opening weekend set for the King’s Birthday long weekend on Saturday 6 June 2026, preparation is already well underway across all six alpine resorts. Following record visitor numbers in 2025, driven by strong snowfall and exceptional spring conditions at Mt Buller, Mt Hotham and Falls Creek, momentum is building for another outstanding Victorian snow season.

“With just over three months until the lifts start turning, excitement is already building across Victoria’s alpine communities,” ARV CEO, Amber Gardner, said. “Our teams are working hard behind the scenes across the six resorts to deliver another safe, memorable and enjoyable snow season for visitors from across the country.”

Further updates including vehicle day entry permit pricing and resort updates will be released in the coming months.
