In advance of launching a new and consolidated digital platform for the purchase of resort entry passes across all resorts, ARV has standardised its approach to resort entry discounts and concessions for winter 2026.These changes will be implemented to create a fairer and more consistent system across all Victorian alpine resorts with the same rules apply to all user groups.
ARV is aligning permit settings across resorts to ensure equity for all visitors, regardless of where they travel. Several outdated exemptions and categories have been simplified or removed to reduce confusion and make requirements easier to understand. These updates also help ensure that resort entry revenue continues to support essential services, including safe road access, transport management, visitor facilities, environmental protection and ongoing maintenance of shared infrastructure.
While some discounts have been removed, other benefits have been added including an evening permit for local community members, that enables people to access the resorts for free if they arrive after 4:30pm and depart before midnight on the same day. This is intended to make it easier for locals located off-mountain to visit the resort for dinner, special events and night-skiing.
ARV remains committed to supporting participation across all user groups. We will continue to work with partners to encourage safe, accessible and enjoyable alpine experiences. User groups will still benefit from the services funded through resort entry fees, and the updated policy provides clearer eligibility and more transparent processes.
