Lake Mtn snow making

Visitors to Lake Mountain this winter have continued to enjoy snow play, tobogganing and the alpine experience despite a season characterised by variable natural snowfall. At Lake Mountain, the Snow Factory has played an important role in supporting operations and maintaining access to key visitor areas.

Operating whenever conditions have allowed, the Snow Factory has produced snow to maintain snow play areas and toboggan runs, helping ensure visitors continue to enjoy alpine experiences throughout periods of limited natural snowfall.

The Snow Factory provides a reliable snow base that supports safe and consistent recreation areas while improving the resort's ability to respond to changing weather conditions. This capability has become increasingly important in maintaining visitor access and supporting winter tourism outcomes.

Late July brought welcome natural snowfall to the mountain, complementing the existing machine-made snow base and helping extend snow coverage across the resort into August.

The season has highlighted the important role snowmaking infrastructure plays in supporting operational resilience. Through a combination of snowmaking, natural snowfall and the efforts of the Lake Mountain team, the resort has continued to provide accessible alpine experiences for visitors throughout the winter season.
