Mountain biking remains front and centre at Mt Buller this green season, with major upgrades to trails, a change to the uplift offer and exciting events set to attract riders from across the country.
ARV was successful in securing significant investment through the Victorian Government’s Regional Tourism Investment Fund to expand and enhance the existing MTB trail network, ensuring world-class riding conditions. Attracting new and return riders, Mt Buller will once again host the AusCycling National Championships, marking the second consecutive year this thrilling event comes to the mountain featuring, two cross-country disciplines and downhill racing.
In a big win for riders, Buller Ski Lifts is operating the Northside Express Chairlift for mountain bike uplift with new installed bike carriers making access to the top of the gravity trails safe and easy. Sightseeing passes are also available for visitors to enjoy a scenic return ride on the chairlift.
A new bike shuttle service is also in place this green season, adding convenience and improving the overall experience for MTB visitors.
The season launched with a successful opening weekend, and with upgraded trails, improved infrastructure, and national-level competition on the calendar, Mt Buller is confident this year will deliver even greater benefits for stakeholders and the local community.
