Department of Transport are inviting Victorians to “Name a place in Victoria” after someone who has made a significant contribution to the community.
Hosted on the consultation platform Engage Victoria, this process will collate a list of names that councils or ARV can draw upon when needed, like when naming new roads, new tracks or walkways.
They are particularly seeking information about people from under-represented groups, such as women, First Peoples, and multicultural communities. If you know of a local legend that fits the bill, head to the “Name a place in Victoria” consultation on Engage Victoria before it closes 16 December 2024.
