ARV is working to address the diverse energy needs of the resorts, establishing Energy Performance and Management Plans for each resort.
The plans will focus on aspects including the energy performance of buildings, heating systems, vehicle emissions and net zero targets. Each plan will feature an implementation schedule that to addresses the unique needs of individual resorts.
The first phase of this project will create plans for the off-grid resorts of Lake Mountain, Mt Baw Baw and Mt Stirling. Tender for the delivery of this project is currently out in market with a contract expected to be awarded in October 2024. Completion of the first phase is due in February 2025.
Phase two, which will include the creation of implementation plans for the ‘on-grid’ resorts of Falls Creek, Mt Buller and Mt Hotham will be tendered in November 2024 with completion due in September 2025.
