The following notice is published pursuant to Section 95B(2) of the Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999 (EPBC Act) in relation to project EPBC 2023/09645.
Alpine Resorts Victoria is proposing to develop the Rocky Valley Lake foreshore on Bogong High Plains Road, Falls Creek, including restoration of the Australian National Antarctic Research Expedition shed building and undertake associated vegetation clearing and civil works. The proposed action was determined to be a controlled action under the EPBC Act and has potential to impact listed threatened species and communities (Sections 18 and 18A) protected under Part 3 of the EPBC Act.
On 1 December 2025, the draft preliminary documentation was placed on public exhibition for a period of 15 business days, until 19 December 2025. During this period, two (2) public submissions were received.
The final preliminary documentation, including a summary of the results of public exhibition, has been prepared and can be viewed at the following locations from 25 May 2026:
